proudly investing BACK INTO the Territory
TEC Automation has proudly reinvested over $150,000 into Northern Territory youth, sport and community initiatives because we believe strong communities build a stronger Territory.
When you choose TEC, you're investing in more than a technical services provider. You're partnering with a Territory business that keeps money, opportunities and employment local.

We believe community support is more than writing a cheque. It's about showing up, building lasting relationships and contributing where it's needed most.
Darwin Community Partnerships
-
St Mary’s Football Club is TEC’s longest-running community partnership.
TEC has supported St. Mary’s for over 15 years - well before the business existed. That involvement started with volunteering, coaching, committee roles, and working bees, and grew into full business sponsorship.
On the business side, TEC has provided financial support across junior apparel, club-level senior sponsorship covering game day and warm-up kit, and in-kind maintenance. We absorb the cost of electrical, fire, communications, and security works at the club, reducing their financial burden so more money stays in the game. We’ve also contributed to renovations, installed TVs, upgraded lighting, and assisted with compliance.
Player sponsorship is a big part of this too. TEC sponsors players directly, covering registration and apparel for the season. In the most recent regular season alone, we covered five players. Notable players we’ve supported include Naomi Anderson, who we followed from juniors through to seniors before she moved on to AFL.
-
Beyond club-level support, TEC backs individuals directly. We’ve sponsored Sienna Vallejo for NT basketball, supported school-aged kids including Jack Anstess with travel and costs for school sport trips in football and basketball, and contributed funding for two NT Rugby Union kids to attend a Rugby Union camp.
-
TEC Automation and TEC Fire provided one-off sponsorship for Casuarina’s senior team, covering apparel and travel costs for a national competition.
-
TEC supported Wanderers FC’s breast cancer initiative, contributing funds for their pink round and the associated event, with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Foundation. We’ve also personally sponsored players at Wanderers.
-
TEC supported and enjoyed the Territory Power Solutions annual golf day, which raises funds for the Starlight Foundation and men’s mental health. The event is coming around again and TEC will be involved once more.
-
Next door and close to home. TEC supports Hoops for Health with everyday maintenance, equipment, materials, and free hands whenever they need them - helping them run their community events and engagement programs.
-
TEC has engaged with both the Stars Foundation (girls) and Clontarf (boys) programs, running mentoring sessions, visiting schools, and hosting job events where students get to meet local businesses. These aren’t just goodwill visits. Two TEC apprentices came directly out of these programs: Shakira through Stars, completing a Cert III and Cert IV in Business; and Darian through Clontarf, who is on track to complete his Cert III electrical apprenticeship this year. Community employment through school engagement is something we’ve built into how we grow the team.
-
TEC purchases artwork from community artists as part of our commitment to supporting Indigenous creative practice and economic participation.
kATHERINE cOMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
-
TEC’s support for the community extends to Katherine, where we’ve sponsored players and the club at Eastside Football Club. Our Katherine office is part of that community, not just a service delivery address.
-
TEC participates in Katherine school employment events, hosting get-to-know-the-businesses sessions where students come and learn about career pathways in the trades. It’s one of the ways we connect young Territorians with real opportunities in the industry.
