Managing Director
Ryan leads technical delivery across TEC Automation’s full scope of services, including automation systems, control systems, switchboards and electrical infrastructure.

Ryan provides technical oversight across all projects, ensuring systems are delivered to perform reliably in Territory conditions.
Building Capability
in the Territory
There is a clear gap in local Aboriginal capability in the level of electrical and automation work typically delivered in industries like oil and gas and major infrastructure.
TEC Automation are working to change that.
This means:
employing and training local staff
supporting apprenticeships and traineeships
providing exposure to high-level systems and projects
investing in skills across automation, electrical and instrumentation
developing Territory-based expertise for long-term delivery
We’re not building short-term capacity.
We’re building a workforce that can deliver this level of work in the Territory, for the long term.
When you work with TEC, you’re working with a team that’s invested in the future of the Territory - because it’s our future too.
Team Capability
TEC Automation delivers projects through a structure that combines experienced in-house personnel with the flexibility to scale when a project requires it.
From control systems and automation to switchboards, instrumentation and hazardous area electrical, our team is structured to handle work where precision, experience and accountability matter.
Our strength is not just in individual experience, but in how the team works together.
Every project is supported by:
Strong technical leadership
On-site supervision and accountability
Clear communication with clients
A consistent standard of delivery
The result is a team that can take on complex, high-risk work and deliver it properly - every time.
Local Teams.
Faster Response.
We have established offices in Darwin and Katherine and our field and management teams are locally based - meaning faster mobilisation, fewer logistical complications and people who understand Territory conditions firsthand.
Local knowledge, combined with practical experience in harsh environments, ensures systems are delivered and maintained to perform under real operating conditions.
Experience
across sectors
Our team’s experience spans critical sectors across the Northern Territory, including:
Power generation and water infrastructure
Defence and government facilities
Fuel stations and substations
Commercial and industrial operations
This experience allows us to approach each project with a clear understanding of risk, compliance and operational requirements.
